3D operations with robots
Building a robot cell for a pick & place application is a relatively standard job for any robot integrator. Milling, 3D / 5D printing or 3D cutting with an industrial robot is a different story. It requires additional knowledge of machining, materials, tooling, peripherals and, last but not least, the CAM software to generate the robot programs.
So many customers, so many types of products. That is why it is important to be as broadly oriented as possible. For both the software and the hardware, we have all the knowledge to help you make the right choices when it comes to milling, cutting or 3D/5D printing using a robot.
The Blueflame3D concept
Together with our partners IRS Robotics, DamenCNC and HB3D, we deliver robot solutions according to the Blueflame3D concept. The Blueflame3D concept gives you the guarantee that you are buying a proven solution. Based on refurbished robots, we have developed a concept that is the opposite of what you are used to.
Normally you will talk to a robot integrator if you want to have a robot cell built. In such an initial meeting, the robot integrator will ask you what you want him to build you. We work the other way around.
In recent years we have developed and tested various components in our demo set-ups. From rotary table to milling motor control box and tool change system. We have extensive knowledge of milling and 3D/5D printing with industrial robots and the necessary software. Combined with the hardware developed by us, we can offer you a proven solution that offers security. We call that a solution according to the Blueflame3D concept.
Refurbished robots
The refurbished robots we use originate from the automotive industry. This is how the robot enters our own Daimler demo cell. These robots are always well maintained and therefore very interesting for a second life as a milling or printing robot. The robots are fully checked, repainted and calibrated by our partner IRS Robotics.
A refurbished robot can be a very attractive alternative to a 5-axis milling machine in the wood and plastics industry. The tolerances in these industries do not require machines that have to work accurately to within a few tenths. What is important is the greatest possible flexibility and reach. And that is what a robot offers! Since a refurbished robot is about 80% cheaper than a new robot, it is also a responsible choice from a price point of view.
High-end robotic cells
CNC Solutions is our SprutCAM distributor in Belgium. Their core business is building robot cells for various applications, including milling, plasma cutting and sanding. The robot cells from CNC Solutions are of very high quality and equipped with Stäubli Robotics industrial robots. They also build custom CNC robot cells. In addition to high quality, CNC Solutions also stands out with their own CNC control specially developed for their robot cells.
Live demonstration
Due to the large amount of know-how present among the partners, we can supply robot solutions in various price ranges and for multiple applications such as milling, 3D / 5D printing, plasma cutting, welding and spraying. To inform our customers as well as possible before they make a choice, we have a number of demo locations spread across the Netherlands and Belgium at our disposal. In this way our customers can form a realistic picture of the purchase of a robot solution according to the Blueflame3D concept. This has proven to be highly appreciated.
When we receive a call from a customer, we usually invite them to attend a demonstration at one of our locations. It is also possible to participate in a live demonstration online. For this we have equipped a demo setup with HD cameras that you can control yourself and you can follow the operations in SprutCAM Robot in real time.
During these demonstrations we take the time to answer all your questions and we will actually mill, print or cut a product. We also explain how SprutCAM Robot works.
